Racism in Ireland:

Immigrant Council of Ireland’s latest Impact Report shows incidents of racism in Ireland nearly doubled last year and most incidents occurred in the workplace or public transport.

The Equal Status Acts 2000-2018 (‘the Acts’) prohibit discrimination in the provision of goods and services, accommodation and education. They cover grounds that include race. While the figures might not appear high in this report, racism is a virus that as a country and a people should have zero tolerance for. For a great country, there is still a lot of work to be done by our society and Government in relation to immigration.
